Slit Lamp (Biomicroscope)

This is a table-mounted microscope with a high-intensity light source that can be focused into a thin “slit.” It allows the doctor to see the structures of your eye in 3D. Examining the anterior (front) part of the eye, including the eyelid, cornea, iris, and lens. It is essential for detecting cataracts and corneal injuries.
